Fruition - 6th Ave

Aaaaaaah Fruition. I remember you well. Amazing food, possibly condescending staff. You know that feeling when you're having a great time but you're pretty damn sure you're being talked down to for a whole meal but not sure why? That was our Fruition experience. Great, seasonal menu (I tried sweet breads for the first time, delicious) and quiet date night atmosphere but try as we might, we felt weird and out of place starting at the door. The greeter was very cold and looked at us like idiots for asking if there was a bar (we were a bit early for our res). The rest of the meal followed the original attitude. We are in our 30's but felt restricted and out of place. Maybe an off night for us and them all around? Plan to give it another shot soon to find out, the delicious food deserves a second chance.
