Torchy's - Broadway
They should rename Torchy's the Taco Mecca. Because it is a freaking taco Mecca. The Green Chili Queso followed by the Trailerpark, Dirty Sanchez, Baja Shrimp and Crossroads tacos made our day. The Street Corn will rock your face. Need a drink? They have a full service bar. The perfect place to get in & out in a hurry or hang for hours stuffing your face.

Blue Island Oyster Bar - Cherry Creek
We're in love with the vibe and decor of Blue Island and their delicious menu sealed the deal to be one of our new favorite places. If you're there for lunch try the Lobster Salad or ask if the Lobster Grilled Cheese is a daily special, it's amazing. If it's dinner you're after, the Fried New England Surf Clams and Steamed PEI Mussels (try them with the coconut curry broth) are out of this world. Need a drink? The Bloody No. 9 and Signature martini will set you straight.

Mr. Kim Korean BBQ - Mississippi Ave
Mr. Kim's is legit and delicious. We went all in with the Beef Combo BBQ (we chose double short ribs & brisket) and couldn't have been happier with absolutely everything. The sides are fresh, numerous and authentic. The sauces are divine with perfect service throughout. Need something? Hit your call button, LOVE. Their kimchi is the bees knees. BONUS: Ocean Market is next-door.

maria empanada - S Broadway
We love the hell out of some empanadas and Maria's is our new Denver winner. The classic beef or chicken are crazy good and even a meat lover will swoon for their corn or mushroom empanadas. If they're packed, you can grab a To Go order in minutes. Divine. BONUS: Their salsas kick ass.

Harman's - Cherry Creek
The whole local, foraged, sustainable thing is a little bit overplayed for us as a restaurant theme lately (we're hoping it becomes the norm not the marketing trend sooner than later) but we happened into Harman's unexpectedly and weren't disappointed. It was welcoming and lively but not overcrowded and they shake up a perfect dirty martini. The brussel sprout starter had a dipping sauce with enough kick to make yet another brussel sprout app worth trying. Husband's scallop special was delicious and the Phat Thai Fried Chicken was perfectly seasoned. Our server couldn't have been sweeter or more on point. BONUS: We brought home the most delicious apple cake, try it.

Chop Shop - Colfax & Elm
This is one delicious little spot with some seriously good meat. Chop Shop is a small restaurant with the perfect, cozy atmosphere that passes all marks with flying colors. The 48hr Short Ribs were indeed slow cooked to perfection and the Parmesan Fries perfectly seasoned. Their Smoked Chicken Pastrami was the perfect twist on the usually boring chicken sandwich (the slaw is amazing) and the Sesame Green Beans were so good we brought home an extra order. The service was perfection. We can't wait to go back and try some more! BONUS: They have a great cocktail selection all day.
