Bones - Grant St

This place knows what the heck they're doing and they've been doing it since Day 1. We've annihilated their entire appetizer menu on more than one occasion (try the bone marrow) and keep going back for more. If you land there on a Monday, make sure someone orders the special. It's a small spot so make a reservation y'all.

LoHi SteakBar - LoHi

A great date night bar/restaurant to watch a game or share a steak and burger. Not the most inventive menu but still has solid choices (with new additions added often) that regularly hit the table tasting great. They have a wide seasonal, local beer selection (we're still dreaming about an apricot beer we had their last summer) with a good brunch and happy hour if you're out early. We love the house steak with any of their signature butters (they're all awesome).

Stoic & Genuine - Union Station

They sold us with the Swine & Roe appetizer and their Shuck, Eat, Repeat menu. The outdoor patio is huge and would make for awesome outdoor dining during warmer months. The cozy indoor dining room makes a winter meal a serious pleasure. Our server wasn't as well versed on the menu as expected for a new restaurant (had trouble recommending items) and did bring hot crab legs instead of on ice but the meal was delicious regardless. Wander around Union Station before or after your meal, they have a ton of new places to check out.

Tom's Urban Diner is a 24 hr MUST - Larimer/LoDo

We've been to Tom's both for brunch and also to meet friends for dinner and we were happily impressed both times. They make a mean dirty martini and have a much wider (and more delicious) array of fully legit diner comfort foods than we expected (try the Grilled Croatian Fig Jam & 3 cheese sandwich or the Colorado Hot Brown). I dare you to take less than 15 minutes to pick something from their extensively awesome menu.

Cucina Colore - Cherry Creek

We've been in for a lunch and a dinner date and both visits were delicious. The mussels were perfectly prepared and the salmon was cooked to absolute perfection. The vegetarian lasagna would be very hard to beat. A perfect atmosphere of amazing smells, smiling patrons and quickly delivered cocktails. Perfect for a quiet night out. We will absolutely be back again in the future.

Cherry Cricket - Cherry Creek

After 4+ visits we begrudgingly had to put Cherry Cricket on our list of places to only go when hungover or with our kids. Super fun atmosphere but dingy dining room and half assed food makes it tough to crave a burger. Tons of burger toppings including out-of-the-ordinaries (think peanut butter) but no love put in otherwise...usually cold and always overcooked. This fun spot has fallen from grace in our books.

Neighbors Wine Bar - Park Hill

Neighbors was a perfect low key date night spot. The cheese and meat list goes on and on to build a charcuterie plate and you can make a damn good meal out of sharing their small plates. The wine list was well rounded and had some new-to-us labels to try, all delicious. The total adds up quickly price wise but is definitely worth the expense for a quiet evening filled with great food and wine.
